The unique spherical shape of Bauspot GB1 offers a number of important benefits, including: higher filler loading; lower viscosity; improved flow and reduced shrinkage and warpage. It also helps the Bauspot GB1 blend readily into compounds and make them adaptable to a variety of production processes including spraying, casting and molding.
From single family homes to large industrial plants, paints and coatings as well as lightweight stuccos are the first line of protection for the buildings that shelter our businesses and lives. And weathering the elements year after year – while keeping down initial and long-term costs – requires the right materials.

Bauspot GB1 contain 3M Glass Bubbles that are engineered hollow glass microspheres alternatives to conventional fillers and additives such as silicas, calcium carbonate, talc, clay, etc., for many demanding applications. These low-density particles are used in a wide range of industries to reduce part weight, lower costs and enhance product properties.
The chemically stable soda-lime-borosilicate glass composition of Bauspot GB1 provides excellent water resistance to create more stable emulsions. They are also non-combustible and nonporous, so they do not absorb resin. And, their low alkalinity gives Bauspot GB1 compatibility with most resins, stable viscosity and long shelf life.
Technical details:
• Oil Absorption: 0.2–0.6 g oil/cc of 3M glass bubbles, per ASTM D281-84
• Packing Factor (Ratio of bulk density to true particle density): Averages about 60%.
• Volatile Content: Maximum of 0.5 percent by weight
• pH: 9.1-9.9 mixed with deionized water at 5% volume loading
• Appearance: White to the unaided eye
